This vibrant festival had something for everyone—live music, delicious food and drinks, artists and makers, and interactive games. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable celebration of UBalt’s 100th anniversary!

We continued our Centennial celebration with a “supersized” edition of a beloved tradition, Rock the Block. We shut down Mt. Royal Avenue on our campus so we could welcome artists and vendors from our student and alumni communties to showcase their talents with the community. See the full list of participants below.

UBalt President Kurt L. Schmoke helped us kick off the event with a welcome, followed by a spoken word performance by Maryland poet laureate Lady Brion, MFA '18, and cupcake giveaway, courtesy of KayTell's Sweets, owned by Kayla Tellington, B.A. '18, current MFA student.

Guests danced in the street thanks to music by DJ Co., and live performances of country-inspired pop music by Shelby Blondell, B.A. '18, MBA '20, jazz, funk and rock music by The Shrapnels, and ska/reggae music by The Players Band, led by Class of '02 alum Andy Schneider.

Thank you to our talented artists and vendors!

So many of our vendors were current students, alumni or both, and we can't help but boast.
